Destino è spesso usato come sinonimo di fato, ma le due parole hanno un significato leggermente diverso. Destino deriva dalla parola destinazione. Si riferisce a ciò che si diventa, mentre il fato descrive ciò che si è. E’ stabilito che i pesci nuotino e gli uccelli volino. Questo è il loro fato. Ma non è il loro destino.
